Main Event Entertainment has signed a lease to build a nearly 50,000-square-foot family entertainment center with a bowling alley, laser tag arena and restaurants at the site of the old Tinseltown movie theater off Siegen Lane.
The entertainment center is set to open in 2017, said officials with Dallas-based Main Event and Olshan Properties in New York, which owns Siegen Lane Marketplace. This will be the first Main Event location in Louisiana. The company operates 24 family centers in cities such as Atlanta; Oklahoma City; Austin, Texas; and Memphis, Tennessee. There are plans to open three more centers by June, including locations in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Louisville, Kentucky.
