When Miles uses the word "both" and makes the statement "One guy hasn’t separated himself from the other".... Jennings is your starter and it's really no surprise either.

Ya'll mother frickers are dumb as shite.

It's about managing players, good coaches know how to manage players. If he gets up there and says Harris is the guy, the competition is over. Harris and Jennings both go into cruise control mode.

The reason they are even is to keep the competition alive which drives them to get better. I couldn't care less who actually starts, as they will be the best chance we have to win. Not Miles favorite.

Every year before fall practice there have been ?'s at the quarterback position almost as long as Miles has been coach. You could take this article and just repost it year-over-year except for maybe one or two years. Wash, rinse, repeat.

that's pretty stupid. how do you get "Jennings is your starter" out of that?

if Jennings is the starter its because Harris couldn't beat him out.

Why wouldn't they be even? No one but the players have seen how either QB has improved. There is no reason for Les to come out and name a starter before the QB competition begins.

Right, now the LSU coaches can finally know what's happened this summer. How could they know anything up to this point?

I remember when LSU was going into 2005 and 2006 fall camp with jamarcus and flynn and they were "even" and "neck and neck". No one knew who would be the starter in 2005 until jamarcus stepped onto the field at arizona state.

The fall camps in the les miles era where he named a starter early that I can remember was:

flynn in 2007
jefferson in 2010
mett in 2012-2013

all of the other times it seems like he didn't name a starter before the season FWIW

Just like he's not going to name a starter this year before mcneese IMO.

I want Harris to start as much as anyone but I have no problem with what he said.

I just hope he starts letting one of them (Harris) take more reps than the other with the first string guys. I don't see the benifit in them splitting reps after the first week or so.

I think it's going to play out where the most talented player will play that can lead the team the best.

most are hoping that is harris because it's easy to see he possesses the talent advantage.

If Jennings starts it means he gives us the best chance to win ! It sucks but it's the ugly truth .

nope. Lee was hurt with a back injury and wasn't in the mix in fall camp.

But if he announced one guy the starter over the other, then wouldn't that mean he would receive the lion's share of the reps in the practices and have more opportunity to improve versus having to split all the reps 50/50?

If Jennings has not improved, we will not beat Arky or Bama, if those teams can make you one dimensional, we will be in for long days. We prob lose to MSU and AU again too.

Harris shows enough raw ability to get hot and be a threat to beat all of those teams.

I pray they are both improved greatly, I do think AJ is the worst QB I have seen.
