For some reason I thought he missed most of 1991. Either way, doesn't change my main point. I'll take it a step further. Baseball does a black and a grey test when assessing HOF candidates. Black test means you lead a key category in a given year and grey test means you were top 5 in a given year. When you apply that test to NFL QB's, Steve young dominates the grey test, even beating Joe Montana handily. He was as dominant in his 8 seasons at QB as any QB ever was.

i was confusing the 2 posts, yours with the guy that said he wasn't impressed with Youngs career. I agree Young was awesome and probably should get more credit when discussing all-time greats. He had 2 pieces of "bad luck" in replacing a legend and running into the Cowboy dynasty.
