Bookmarker Sportsbook has posted odds on #LSU's starting QB for week 1.

The favorite: Jennings, by a decent margin. LINK

Thats pretty bold from the Bookmaker bunch. Harris seems like the right bet since Jennings was suspended. +120 on Harris is the correct bet. But which ever way Miles bets it is the way Id roll.

It's sad to see the truth. Guy gets arrested, missed time in 7 on 7, showed no signs of being an even average qb and people still know he is going to start.

Miles is as predictable in who he plays as he is with the plays he runs. Anyone with any common sense that has kept up with LSU knows that Jennings will start unless injured or suspended. That being said we are kicking arse this year. AJ is gonna ball.

I'm going to laugh when Harris starts, doesn't play like Peyton Manning, and then the Rant blames Miles for not naming a starter months ago.

I'm sure this idea will get shite upon by many, but I actually find myself in favor of using a two quarterback system. First, both are young and will have bad days. I'd rather they were swapped regularly so that Les isn't concerned with breaking a QB's confidence by pulling him and will pull him when he needs to. Second, Les always seems to take the QB that plays more conservatively, which in this case is Jennings even though Harris seems to have a better upside. I'd be happier knowing Harris will be on the field half the time instead of nervously waiting to see if it is all or nothing. And third, part of our problem at QB is that our back-ups are never getting any work, and every few years we have to start a QB that has virtually no experience at all. It would be nice if we could break that chain. I'm hoping that we see McMillan regularly in mop up duty. We might not have so many QBs transfer away if they are all seeing some PT (even if it is very limited).

If you have 2 you probably don't have one.

So much wat I don't even know where to begin. So you're advocating that they play knowing the second they make a mistake they get pulled.

No. I'm saying they are getting swapped anyway, good day or bad. We just won't have a QB that is having a bad day play the whole game as we did in the 2011 MNCG.

I'd rather do this for a few years so that our QB's have experience. When they don't have any experience we sure as hell don't have a QB. Even Mett wasn't particularly good the year we threw him into the fire. It's clear that our offense takes some time to learn. It would be nice if we could keep guys long enough to learn it. At least give the second guy a few series during the game and let the 3rd stringer do mop up just to get them in the game.

Furthermore, I don't think getting pulled will be a psychologically harmful when the QB knows that he's going to get a chance at redemption. With you play one QB exclusively, if he gets pulled he might be done for a long time if the back up gets rolling.

Also, as we have so many quality receivers we might be able to pair them up to give extra work to improve timing.

Anyway, I'm not saying I'm certain this should work, but I don't think we should immediately crap on the concept. Clearly what we have been doing hasn't been up to par.
