Makes sense. If I was putting a ton of miles on, I'd probably do the same.

Your car calls for 40w?

It calls for anything that is LL-01 approved. I've tried Mobil 5w30, Catrol 0w30, and Castrol 0w40. The 0w40 seems to run the best in my aging car, in my lay opinion.
