Not all four inaugural CFB teams were drug tested

Seems fair.
Darren Carrington was suspended for 6 games. However failed drug tests administered by the school themselves carry far less punishment.
Darren claims he failed due to second hand smoke. bullshite, right? However, you fail with 5 nanograms per milliliter in the system, 10x the normal threshold.
Seems legit to suspend Carrington for 6 games.
Disclaimer: Oregon loses to tOSU big with Carrington for those that see excuses from Oregon fans when they aren't there.

Most revealing, however, was Helfrich's comment that he was told that not all four teams in the inaugural College Football Playoff were tested for drugs. I'll write more about that in a later story this evening, but it's an eye-opening piece of information that not all teams involved would be tested.

There are more details coming tonight but it seems like a bizarre policy. I would like to see the NCAA reduce his suspension. I think what Bosa is getting is more appropriate. Carrington served his time not playing in the NCG.

The issue is this is an tOSU policy not an NCAA one.

That's been a problem in the SEC for Georgia and Kentucky. They're the only schools required to suspend for a first offense.

Did he deflate footballs? No? We can only be outraged about one overblown story this news cycle, sorry.

No wonder Oregon lost! This is bullshite.

You don't read the fineprint, do you?

Oregon was the one with the drug problem. They got drug up and down the field all night by Ohio State.

I hope the Ducks crush USC......again. That is all.

I don't blame the teams that didn't test at all. Once you're that far into the season and so close to a title you have nothing to gain and everything to lose by testing. If nobody is going to force you to test then why do it?

I agree with you but

It is not up to them

Honestly, the only drugs athletes should be tested for are performance enhancers.
Who cares if a ball player smokes weed or even does ecstacy, coke, whatver.
If they can handle it still be elite then they can handle it.
If they can't, they'll fizzle and not be contenders. If the NCAA or pro sports were really concerned with promoting responsibility, they would allow this, because nothing says responsibility like making your own choices and dealing with the consequences. But by introducing a hurdle in a drug test, which has nothing to do with the sport itself, it really doesn't make any sense.
These are adults, let them do whatever they want in their personal life.

Newest article states Oregon was the only team tested. Duck fans want Emmert's head.
