Division 2 and Division 3 schools do just fine without rent-a-wins.
It's not P5 school's job to prop up FCS teams. I agree MAC/Directional schools would hurt from this since they have relied on this for years, but this doesn't eliminate those games completely. There will still be 2 of those a year for each B1G team (most likely).

There is a synergy here though, in that power 5 schools in turn, use these games as a break between the tough contests.
The power 5 teams' athletes run a reduced risk of injury, and non-starters see playing time they wouldn't otherwise get. That kind of experience could prove to be invaluable later on.
I'm a fan of "don't fix what isn't broke". And it isn't broke right now.
