You could say that it's overpaying but I think it's in line with what the market asks for when acquiring a big bat. Hitting isn't readily available as pitching is right now.
We're going to keep overpaying with pitchers to get the pieces the FO thinks we need. There's a reason why we took 30 more pitchers in the draft this year. It wasn't so that we could have a 10 man rotation.

But we're not getting a big bat, we are getting the prospect of a big bat that may or may not work out
