I really don't care about whether someone is technically correct or not in this thread.
I'm much more concerned about the lack of progress in US international soccer. From what I've seen so far in the new administration, the USMNT is not close to where I think it should be. I have less confidence in our future than when Klinsman was hired many years ago. Maybe things will look better in a year when some players come off injury and some young talent develops. This is no certainty.
I don't think MLS is world class in US player development as far as quality and quantity. The gap between Mexico and the US has only grown. There should be no chance we miss a world cup in the CONCACAF region (but it is not a certainty in 2022).
Sorry for the rant, but I am extremely frustrated about the USMNT.

I think everybody not named pvilleguru is.
Like I said in one of the gamethreads last month, the Berhalter/Stewart regime was supposed to bring back a spark after the colossal failure that was 2015-2017. Instead, it has only brought apathy.
I don't get excited about the USMNT anymore and that makes me sad.

While I don't disagree with your overall thoughts, our youth teams have been much better than Mexico the past couple years. We just need them to continue to develop.
