Because it's slightly embarrassing. Not as much now that there's a ton of no-hitters per year.

Why is their no chance at a comeback? I've seen strange things happen in baseball. You break up the no-no the lineup feels the momentum and gets hot and you score 5-6 runs in the inning. It certainly isn't a "0 chance" situation.
