I had the misfortune of buying into these pretentious douchebags' hype and attending a "concert" of theirs.

Zach Brown Band is insanely talented. Clay cook is an amazing artist. They are by far the best country group right now.

Why are they pretentious douchebags?

I went to one of their concerts and they rocked. In no way did they come off as pretentious to me.

"All of the Lights" just missed the cut. It came in at #16. God damn Mogli's

Gaslight Anthem missed the cut as well.

It's been a bleak half decade, that's for damn sure.

You're not kidding. It feels like it's been nothing but Bro-country, dub step, auto-tune, jam bands, 90's has-been rockers, EDM. and music that faintly resembles bad 80's electronic pop.

I looked at both lists in their entirety, and didn't once think "oohh good one." Honestly, I'd rather keep sitting here in silence than have any of those 30 albums played.

Maybe I have poor taste in music.

You must really have not recognized them then, because they are song lists, not album lists.

There's a lot of variety in the list in this thread (much less so in the other one).

Jam Band fans would probably love Streetlight Manifesto and Trombone Shorty. Outlaw Country folks would probably really enjoy Zach Brown's "All Alright". For a good rock feel, there's "Out of Time" and "Howl". If you don't have fun listening to "Uptown Funk" then you have no soul. That song is just too damn catchy.

A lot of the music you posted won't be popular on this board because it's not hard rock or indie music, but we are very similar in music taste. I love love love Fun. and Nate Ruess. Some Nights was probably my favorite song of this decade so far. And The Killers are my favorite band so I love Runaways. I'd throw in some more Black Keys (Gold on the Ceiling).
