I don't like them in the slow cooker but they will work. IMHO too mushy.

I season the water in the crawfish pot-like I'm going to do crawfish. Then I throw them in, boil for 45min/hour and then I taste for texture doneness. After that I let soak for roughly 2 hours to soak up the spices.
Sometimes I mess with the spices but usually just stick to salt, cayenne, zats powder And crab boil.
They freeze easy so you don't have to eat all at once
Ziplock to the freezer.
They need to be GREEN peanuts or you'll have to boil twice as long.
