Heroin is an opiate so yes if you do enough you will become physically addicted, as to whether or not you become an addict is up for debate.

well let me clarify. i'm not talking about regular usage (multiple times in a week) over like 3+ months
but it's almost guaranteed if you do that, you're subject to the socialization that creates an addict
so it's not even really the heroin, per se
