Some yes. I have a friend whose dog needs Xanax everytime it storms. She goes to Walgreens or wherever. I had a cat that needed meds but the vet had them in his office.

Almost all of the medications used in vet med are "human meds." Only a handful are labeled as " veterinary only". I call in scripts to regular pharmacies all the time to help people save money
A couple examples of meds that cause issues would be thyroid supplements and Amitriptyline. Dogs require much higher mg/kg dose of thyroid meds than humans and so pharmacists always think we are way, way overdosing when we really aren't. The latter is used as an antidepressant in people yet is a great antihistamine for some dogs with allergies - a foreign concept for most pharmacists
