I like that Les spoke about Beckwith a lot, seems to be a monster going into the season. He didn't touch on Steele very much and seemed to avoid the new defensive situation. Obviously we knew he would avoid the QB questions so I won't touch on it. Him messing up LMFAOs name one last time was pretty comical

Any thoughts?

Forgot it was on, what did he say when asked about who the starter was? I'll go ahead and guess he said the competition is still open?

I liked the way he spoke about the defensive players/talent pool over the last 7-8 years vs coaching. Sounds like he's confident that trend will continue.

Talked about Steele and BeBe in opening statement. Was asked about Chavis by Aggie writer and said he respected Chavis and he was very helpful in their success at LSU. I agree with Les not saying anymore about Chavis because he might not want to give his ex D coordinator any more pub.

I thought Les came off as very capable, with a clear want to get started on the path to victory. He likes his team and he looks forward to competing like hell.

What did you expect? I'm baffled by people who expect earth-shattering news from pre-season press conferences.
