Well, that was very boring.

I like that Les spoke about Beckwith a lot, seems to be a monster going into the season. He didn't touch on Steele very much and seemed to avoid the new defensive situation. Obviously we knew he would avoid the QB questions so I won't touch on it. Him messing up LMFAOs name one last time was pretty comical
Any thoughts?

Same thing year after year.

Forgot it was on, what did he say when asked about who the starter was? I'll go ahead and guess he said the competition is still open?

He expects all those arrested to return to the team and has information that he can't legally provide. Competition will make the two better and Harris has improved greatly over the offseason.

I liked the way he spoke about the defensive players/talent pool over the last 7-8 years vs coaching. Sounds like he's confident that trend will continue.

Talked about Steele and BeBe in opening statement. Was asked about Chavis by Aggie writer and said he respected Chavis and he was very helpful in their success at LSU. I agree with Les not saying anymore about Chavis because he might not want to give his ex D coordinator any more pub.

I thought Les came off as very capable, with a clear want to get started on the path to victory. He likes his team and he looks forward to competing like hell.

He did, but reading between the lines it seemed like a vote of confidence for Harris.

Agree in the Harris point, but it seemed like he was leaving the door open for Jennungs. Very reminiscent of '11.

Yea he spoke about Jennings and Harris on the same level. Sorry, but Jennings should be in the dog house until he proves himself.

What did you expect? I'm baffled by people who expect earth-shattering news from pre-season press conferences.

Boring? Do you watch these interviews? All 14 coaches have been boring. It is a press conference in July.

He said Harris is getting all the first team reps in the summer

Thought Les's Polynesian pronunciation was classic!

He's not going to name an outright starter. His way of pushing both, but from what he's saying it sounds like Harris is ahead. Talking about him like he used to talk about Jennings when he discussed the two.

Definitely gave Harris the early nod due to Jennings situation

Disagree a little.

Agreed. To reminiscent IMO.

He also didn't mention Jennings by name once. Not sure what people wanted him to say. Even if he has decided on Harris as the starter game 1, there's no way in hell he would tell that to the media in July.
People bitching about this press conference went into it waiting to bash Miles.
