I'm as intolerant of all the anti-police bullshite as any other like-minded southern, conservative male, but that video is insane. I don't care what nationality or color that dude is, there is absolutely zero excuse for that. That's another person's life you're talking about, and those cops should be tried for 2nd degree murder at the very least. When I saw the video from the first angle, the thought crossed my mind that maybe it looked sketchy. When I saw it from the second angle, the dude wasn't even doing anything threatening. He just lowered his arms. For all we know he could've been dropping his hat. I dunno that's crazy. Very sad situation.

eta: just so we're clear, if a cop tells you to keep your hands up, then do it. But to justify this shooting because the guy lowered his arms? That's asinine. Again, this is a human being's life you're talking about here.

The funny thing is that a lot of the people talking about how it's the guy's own fault and blahblah will be the first to talk about constitutional protections and distrust of the government. Do you realize how slippery of a slope it creates to tell yourself that this kind of shite is okay?
