Always. Pga rules apply in the dog fight with a few exceptions. Like the fact that I have 15 clubs in my bag and illegal grooves on my wedges. No mulligans, play it down and putt everything out. There is a max stroke limit depending on your handicap mainly just to keep everybody moving.
We play low ball and points (3 for birdie, 2 for par, 1 for bogey). Top three players scores count for points on each hole. And money is paid for birdies. It's a good game on a pretty fun course. And it's been in good shape this year

The sand traps were all washed out when I played there a month ago.
The rest of the course was still in decent to good shape. Also, call to make sure they have beer - they were in the middle of changing out resturant / bat when I was there.

Uneventful 84 for me today. 1 birdie 2 doubles and too many bogies. I'm close to figuring this game out. And just to set the bait...I hit a 4 iron about 245 on my second shot into a par 5. I have 3 credible witnesses and I ended up with a par. Every shot was rolling out likes MF today which is the only reason I got that kind of distance but I'm sure someone will question the yardage because I'm not on tour
