The Ice Age series is made by Blue Sky Studios, owned by Fox, not Dreamworks. That is another perfect example of an animation studio that started strong and fizzled out. They have not made a decent movie in quite some time. However, unlike Dreamworks, Blue Sky somehow still makes money on these terrible movies, such as Rio and Rio 2.

Minions made 115 million opening weekend. 2nd highest animation opening ever. Plus merchandise, they did what they set out to do. Hopefully, a better movie will be made with despicable me 3
