You're one dumb motherfricker bud. Lee had a higher completion percentage, better TD to INT ratio, more yards per attempt, and his QBR was 152 compared to Jefferson's 138. Aside from your brain not firing on all 8 cylinders, why exactly do you think it's "laughable" for people to think that Lee had a pretty solid senior season and should've gotten to close it out? Would we have scored negative points with Lee leading the team in the national championship or something?

If you're counting giving the other team points as negative points then yes, we would have scored negative points in that game. He also threw 2 interceptions in 6 attempts vs alabama in that 9-6 game, and in his career vs alabama he threw 1 touchdown against 7 interceptions and completed 41% of his passes. While JJ in his career vs bama had 2 touchdowns to 1 interception and completed 65% of his passes, so yea Lee was definitely better.

There is only ONE reason why Lee had some better stats than Jefferson. Lee was QB for only 13 plays against Top Five defenses in 2011. Two of those plays were interceptions. Jefferson had almost three whole games against Top Five defenses. For the record, Jefferson had better stats at the end of the regular season. Jefferson had a higher Comp%, higher efficiency, higher YPA, and lower Interception %.

Jefferson was a better QB than Lee.

Jefferson's three regular season starts were LSU's three best offensive games of the season for 2011.
It wasn't that just one of Jefferson's games was better than just one of Lee's games. It wasn't that the average of Jefferson's three starts was better than the average of Lee's starts. EVERY regular season game that Jefferson started was better than EVERY regular season game that Lee started.

LSU's second best passing game happened when Jefferson started.

LSU's best rushing game happened when Jefferson started.

LSU's best total offense game happened when Jefferson started.

And Jefferson only started three games.

Jefferson had better regular season passing numbers than Lee.
Compare regular season numbers. Jefferson had better passing numbers than Lee: higher Completion %; higher QB Rating; higher YPA; lower Interception %. And that's not even mentioning how much Jefferson improved the team's rushing attack. LSU rushed for over 250 yards in every game of Jefferson’s three starts.

Post-season numbers cannot be compared. Jefferson played in the Championship games. Lee didn't

Jefferson was more efficient than Lee.
From the moment that Jefferson threw his first pass in the Florida game in 2011, he had a higher QB Rating than Lee. Jefferson had a better efficiency rating than Lee, and that better efficiency continued for the rest of the regular season. That's right, from his first pass until the end of the regular season, Jefferson was more efficient than Lee.

So when folks say that Lee was an efficient QB, the "most efficient" QB in the SEC or in the nation, at no point during the regular season, from the time Jefferson threw his first pass until the end of the regular season, was Lee more efficient than Jefferson.
