Anybody, and I mean ANYbody that thinks JJ is a solid game management coach is simply dumb. Great person, unbelievable recruiting, etc

But getting into the final minutes with equal talent against other coaches.....9 times out of 10 he will make more judgement mistakes. Which will ultimately lead to losses at the tourney levels.

Now throw in the fact our assistant left......oh boy. The hire better be a home fricking run!

When people tell me Coach Jones can't coach against teams with equal talent I just laugh at them.

West Virginia on the road......

Arkansas on the road......

NC State we were in perfect position. We were well prepared and were able to get get great, great shots near the end of the game. Jones can't take the layups for the team, but he got them in position to have layups to win that game...

Sometimes your luck just runs out and that happened this past tournament. That doesn't mean he can't coach against top talent.

He's beat great coaches, including Donovan and Calapari.

For someone to say he just "doesn't have it" after three years of continually getting better, beating very good teams, and improving the roster -- personally that sounds ignorant.

Everybody makes mistakes, however when experienced players with good shooting averages miss layups and strings of free throws at crunch time, that's on the players. No former player would ever try to lay the blame for such things on the coach. The players are ultimately responsible for their production or lack thereof. JJ was not my personal choice for the job but he's trending up and doing more than an adequate job when taken as a whole. Bring in enough talent and you're going to be a consistent winner. Calipari, known as a great coach, never won the big one at UMASS or Memphis, in spite of having very talented teams. He's had a string of #1 classes but only won the final game once.
