Be careful. I got banned for saying I though Martin was one of the worst defenders I'd ever seen at LSU!!!!
I would expect a warning given that I can point to the Arkansas game and say watch how they tricked him in shortcorner situations. He needs to improve, the criticism isn't baseless which is the only restriction I'm aware of on these types of things.

To me his big need for improvement is inbounding the ball (How stupid is it that we have to worry about that), player rotation (which will come with added depth), and timeouts. I think he gets there.
Jones has been a D-I head coach for 15 years. How much more time does he need to "get there"???

Depth will make JJ a "smarter" coach
Ding Ding. We have a winner.

It was obvious to me that we lacked on court leadership and that had a lot to do with why they had breakdowns in many areas. This team will be a great mix of leaders and even young talented on the court leaders. Mickey was one of the smarter players we had on the court last year but wasn't vocal. I just think this years team will be more structured and game savvy. Hopefully Epps and Robinson at least improved on Defense.

.(CJJ)9 times out of 10 he will make more judgement mistakes
Everybody makes mistakes, however when experienced players with good shooting averages miss layups and strings of free throws at crunch time, that's on the players. No former player would ever try to lay the blame for such things on the coach. The players are ultimately responsible for their production or lack thereof. JJ was not my personal choice for the job but he's trending up and doing more than an adequate job when taken as a whole. Bring in enough talent and you're going to be a consistent winner. Calipari, known as a great coach, never won the big one at UMASS or Memphis, in spite of having very talented teams. He's had a string of #1 classes but only won the final game once.
