Next question: Why won't the United States supply the kurds with modern weaponry? I know the answer is Turkey, but Obama made sure in his first term that Turkey can no longer rely on the U.S. Therefore, Turkey no longer is a friend.

Turkey is in NATO and geopolitically speaking, Turkey is more important than the Kurds. Turkey will always have to be a friend.
