re: college football ratings for 2014 based on school.

It was a one year blip. MSU was ranked #1 for 4 weeks and played three games on network television (vs. Bama, AU and OM) Those games in and of themselves probably skewed the avg rating. They also played in a BSC game.
To the contrary, LSU had it's worst record since 2008; Played only 1 CBS game all season AND played it's bowl game at a dead time slot (mid-day on a Tuesday). With all of that, LSU still finished 11th in the ratings.
The biggest take away from that list is just how nationally popular Florida and Michigan are. Florida (7) and Michigan (13) both finished in the top 15 despite each having poor years.
