I agree. It is worthy to honor those who fought the Revolution (and other wars) for our country. But there is much more to it than just that on this day. I know its a slightly arbitrary date (as someone pointed out), but it is the date that was chosen to celebrate the event

With all the controversy about flags and what not lately, I would hate to think that it was more than just laziness and not trying not to offend. But it does make me wonder.

Then again I could be wrong.

more like damn near entirely arbitrary....

and even though the 4th might not necessarily be about the veterans of the military since the revolution, i still wanna thank each and every one of them here for their service and dedication to our great nation...
