Miller, Wood, Julio, Wisler, and Manny looks like it's going to be a pretty nice rotation next year. Particularly if Julio can get back on track and get out of his weird funk on the road.

They should be solid at 5 of the 8 positions too, and can either resign some of the guys in those three spots or find similar serviceable vets.

The big key will be rebuilding the bullpen.

Talk that they are going to trade for a controllable catcher. My guess is Folty and Bethancourt headline any package. Maybe Sims/Hursh included as well. Julio, Peraza and Maybin seem like offseason trade chips for a power hitting 3B/LF.

I think CJ, Grilli, J. Johnson are all dealt before the deadline in salary relief/lottery ticket deals although we've seen Hart and Co. be very creative so who knows how exactly they go with these vets this month.

That leaves you going in to next year with
C: Controllable catcher you trade for (Lucroy seems like option A although not sure Brewers are willing to move him)
1B: Freeman
2B: Peterson
3B: Trade/FA (Seems like this will have to come from a trade unless they settle for someone like Freese)
SS: Simmons
LF: Trade/FA (JUp, Gordon and Cespedes are best FA available here)
CF: Mallex Smith (Perez until he's ready?)
RF: Markakis

Rotation
Miller
Wood
Wisler
Banuelos
FA Signing/Trade (I guess this could be Folty or Teheran but I am guessing both will be traded based on how Bowman has talked about them)

And then you have plenty of arms for the pen plus FA to mix and match. Heyman talked about the FO possibly wanting to get Kimbrel back as well. Withrow, Simmons, Vizcaino all look like good SU arms.
