You call that a great beach? Damn you really need a trip down south.
I've been to most of the great southern beaches and they're very nice. But, what we have here is a mile long beach of white sand, clear fresh water, containing the largest number of public volleyball courts in the country, in a major city in the shadow of the greatest skyline in the country. I'm aware of no other American city that comes close to that.

The Signature Room at the 95th atop the John Hancock Center is really really nice. The view is fantastic!

Actually there are a dozen or more public beaches in Chicago just like this one. And no sharks either.
I'm pretty sure the entire lakefront within the city limits is public land. That is not the case once you go north outside the city.

Got back yesterday. Girl in a goat restaurant incredible. Bavette's for a classic Chicago steak. Field Museum unbelievable. Don't forget the architectural cruise on the river. Try and get a sunset cruise. Lighting on buildings magnificent.

1. Stay away from the south side...
Don't buy that bullshite. The only people who tell you this are people who've never been south of the Loop.
Bernice's Tavern, 3238 S. Halstead … in good old Irish Bridgeport. A Chicago bar like Chicago bars usta be.
