Honestly what does the show get whatsoever from him being killed there?
I think it makes some buttholes pucker at the Vinci PD, it puts Vaughn in a desperate situation as his inside guy is now gone, and it makes McAdams (who is already constantly on edge) even more skittish as the guy she was assigned to work with was pretty brutally murdered. I have no idea how it would or should affect Kitsch.

The show misses the banter b/t Marty and Rusty - that's what really made Season 1 a success - their chemistry was awesome.
The 3 out of 4 of the main people are the show are caricatures on extreme ends of the spectrum.
Kitsch - a damaged robot that few people could relate to or emphasize with.
Ani - a damaged rouge that few people could relate to or emphasize with.
Velcoro - a damaged hitman/informant/cop that few people could relate to or emphasize with (although at least some of his struggles are more recognizable and common than Ani or Kitsch's character - ie being a bad father).
There is some hope with the Frank (Vince Vaughan) - he seems to have the most potential as far as character growth and motivation is concerned.

For fans of The Wire, did anyone else notice the state official was Brianna Barksdale?

She doesn't do it for me. Maybe she's too skinny. She wasn't hot in Suits either. Last night her nostrils seemed very pronounced. That never enhances beauty.

Would never forget those big ole lips.

We were starting to get that with CF and RM. Although not nearly on the level of Marty and Rust, it was still decent.
I laughed at his feminism comment. He basically said every woman's issue comes down to body insecurity right? Or something along those lines?

Then let me ask you this:
Is Velcoro dead or not? If so, how do you think things play out for the other characters (how do they react)? If not, how does it change the investigation for the Vinci folks?
Velcoro is not dead. I have an idea about why and who is behind it though.
I want to throw the mayor out there who is wanting this investigation unsolved. With Frank giving Velcoro the information to the 2nd house the Vici folks decide to send a message to Velcoro. I rewatched the episode and can't help but think it's the mayors wacked out son was the one waiting on Velcoro.
The center of conflict is Frank and the mayor. We know the mayor is squeezing Frank out the poker game and I suspect he has idea about what Casper did with his money.

Solid call.
The mayor gets nothing from killing him. A message is the only thing that would be effective whatsoever.
He needs Velcoro to slow the investigation, but not dead.

That's what I am thinking, Velcoro is stuck between the mayor and Frank.
The 2nd house is the scene of the crime. We have the blood spot on the floor and the sex harness where Caspere was hung upside down.

Remember the boyfriend that couldn't perform for her in one of the opening scenes? I'm guessing she wanted it in the butt. Anyway, I noticed how she seems to enjoy these sex camera websites. I don't know if she was searching her sister or trying to get into character for her next assignment but she clicked on some fetish of hers.

Agreed there is some potential there, although I still struggle to find a reason to care about any of these characters.
In Season 1 we could see the context of a child murder and how it relates to Rusty's struggles of losing a child. Marty's family problems were typical of a dad unable to control how he thinks his idyllic home life should be.
In Season 2, we have Frank's problems that are hard to care about. Ani's shady past and daddy issues, Kitsch's suicide dreams... all of which seemingly have no symbolic connection to a corrupt city manager dying?
Why should we give a frick about a dead city manager that was working shady deals in backrooms?

The real question is who has interest in killing Caspere?
Is it going to be purely monetary or something higher level against his fetish's and possibile abuse of young woman.
If the latter is the case, I don't think you can rule out someone like McAdams who has clear beef with the entire industry.
Keep in mind it was her own tip/investigation that brought them to the house where her sister was and she obviously did not approve.
Its def a stretch but she seems to be pretty self righteous be it with knives etc etc. Although she probably would have chopped it off instead of shot it off.. This is probably as big of a stretch as making Rust a suspect, but I did read something about it.

Casting for this season is shite, being generous there. The cheeseball script just compounds the issue.
Reilly's character needs to take over and save this show, she's the only one that's believable in her role and she is gorgeous.
CF going away permanently would be a good start, i hope that's the case.
The bitch singing in the bar, somebody needs to cut the power to her rig.

It's seems like a bunch of people could have wanted Caspere dead. The guy was basically tortured probably for information. I wonder if Caspere and the shrink were involved in financing one of these web cam companies. It's profitable and helps with their give access to their fetishes?

VV is probably the killer. He knew the city manager had stolen his money. He tortured him to find it. Did not get any answers so he killed him. CF's character is now giving him some problems so he set him up for an ambush. Getting the Hollywood address was perfect for the ambush. And get what ever information he could find there.
VV is the killer !!!!!
VV is the killer !!!!!

Advise, just stop watching the show?
Nobody is forcing you to watch... But I know there is going to be a payoff.

For anybody in here who is also a Mad Men fan, the retreat they went to in the first episode is the same one that Don goes to in the finale.

So he kills Caspere at his 2nd home but shoots CF to get information about the crime scene???
Umm, no... But I ain't saying VV couldn't be the killer just that you need to rethink that post.
