Do you think LSU would take away the "fightin' tigers" nickname bc civial war connection?

Does anyone even refer to LSU as the fightin tigers anyway? I mean I know that that phrase exists and is perfectly acceptable, but I don't think I've heard it said in public or on a broadcast ever.

If they are exhuming dead Confederate soldiers and pulling down Lee Circle, you can bet 'fightin tigers' is on the list.
