It's possible but I did actually catch a few of the ladyfish so I assumed that's what I was catching. Who knows. I'm looking online right now about replacing with single hooks

When you get the ladyfish on the beach there's usually bluefish and spanish along with them, one of those are the likely culprit. Back to question, no they are a pita, rubber net and pliers is the quickest and safest solution. I wouldn't want a lady fish flopping around between my legs attached to a Bomber Long A.
