They also sell hamburger steak and pot roast for lunch, neither are available, just like the SIRLOIN, for dinner. They're serving it on a plate lunch and not for one of their famous steak dinners. Those steaks are better. Look, IDGAF, but no steak you've ever seen on a show touting Lugers is a sirloin.

1.) Generally stick with a ribeye, however, I had one of the best prime strips I've had in a while the other night
2.) Charcoal grill, very hot, sear both sides
3.) You're getting an absolutely terrible piece of meat for $3.75 no matter what
4.) Olive oil, sea salt, pepper
5.) Baked new potatoes, cream spinach, maybe some mushrooms cooked down in butter and worshteshire

I entered that into Google translate and it returned this:

frick. Sorry about making that original statement. I stand corrected. Sorry.

I think the point is that it's a decent cut and is on the menu of some "real" restaurants not that it's a better cut than NY, ribeye, or filet. It is a little ironic that you ate a sirloin at a Ruby Tuesday recently. No self respecting snob would do this.

Mills Lane made a ruling that you are both right.
Luger has a sirloin, and they don't sell it for dinner.

am i blind or something but where is this dinner exception clause in this dumb argument?

Peter Lugers is not a real, steak, restaurant for lunch.

You are not blind. Cutting to the quick, the implication was Peter Luger has a sirloin and that they are a real restaurant blah blah blah. His first argument was they did not (he looked only at the dinner menu) and his second was they sell it only at lunch because it isn't their finest cut. The original argument appears to be about the flavor, quality, tenderness, texture whatever about sirloin. I came in here for steak pics and was sorely disappointed. This thread only delivers a pointless argument where everyone is mostly right and some wrong.

I know. I'm in BFE and its next to my hotel. I've lived off of apps there but I couldn't keep it up. I got baked ravioli one night that was good, but it was meatless and I didn't want to go down that route again. I'm still not proud of having eaten a sirloin, FOR DINNER.

I posted a photo of a perfectly cooked steak in here.

To an outsider a five page steak thread looked potentially awesome. In reality it was the double a baseball of threads. Low quality of something that can be much better and more fun to consume when drunk.

I'd want to off myself if I was drunk and still posting on here. This is a place to come when you're bored, and I'm never bored when I'm drunk.

Alright alright now we're talking.
I've read that some people marinade their steak in beer to make it more tender- ever try that before using the salt/pepper? I'm worried soaking it in beer for a couple hour might draw out flavor.
You have to be trolling, right?

I'll be posting some amateur meat porn later tonight.
I ended up getting a porterhouse, it is currently soaking in a pool of Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan beer,

I take a lot of credit for the poor quality of this thread. And I cooked a sirloin (tri-tip) on Wednesday. I apologize.

This was the result of my culinary venture last night:
You're looking at a Porterhouse steak, roasted potatoes w/ cheese, sautéed green beans, and some bread knots.
I kind of burnt the top side of the steak, but it was only blackened on the surface. It wasn't quite as rare as I would have liked it to be because I cooked the top half a bit too long, but it was a pretty good meal.
