If the hardware is all relatively close, then exclusives are what will decide which way people go.
Nintendo sells on exclusives alone. If they were even marginally competitive in the hardware market and had moderate 3rd party support they would be in a much better position.

I'm not so sure. It's going to take more than just power for them. A lot of it is branding and they just don't associate themselves well with 3rd part gaming.
