some q and a from the HGs post finale

I don't care what anyone says I think Austin played the best game and I wish he would've won it. he makes a great argument against vanessa here. a lot will probably say he is bitter but he is 100% spot on imo

quote:

Vanessa's game: "I would not have voted for her. I stand by the fact that I don't think she played the right game. I think she should've stayed loyal to me. This was the season where everyone wanted to see some kind of loyalty. I think she should've kept quiet. ... Her paranoia drove her and prevented her from playing a great game. I think a lot of people disagree with that, but she and I did the same things. The only difference is, I wasn't paranoid or swearing on things, and she could win things and I couldn't. So I think she could've made a good argument against me in final two. She didn't own any of her moves. ... "The 'incentivize' one - when that one came out, I was like, 'OK, I'm done here.' I was going to press the button and leave."

Why she didn't want blood on her hands: "Try being a woman in the world of poker, being 23 years old. Whatever amount of cockiness I came in with, within a few months on the pro circuit, I quickly learned that unless I wanted to be the bitch in the game, I better be humble. It's a male-dominated industry, but I'm glad I learned that. It takes a more evolved person to go in and not have to brag and need approval from other people. I don't care if nobody even knows. I only care what people in my inner circle think. I tried hard to separate game from emotional. I'm a girl. I get PMS once a month and I cry and I'm not perfect. You hear whispers around every corner and you get paranoid. Half of me saying [Clay and Johnny Mac] were brothers was me having fun. You never know. I tried to play with integrity and making deals is one of the ways to show trust and get yourself further in the game."

Jesus her delusion is strong.

Austin is a hypocrite and being a petty bitch. Sorry man, but he is. Now I'm not saying that Vanessa isn't a paranoid hypocrite herself, but Austin is definitely being one here too.

quote:

I stand by the fact that I don't think she played the right game.

WTH is that suppose to mean? The right game? Please Austin.

quote:

I think she should've stayed loyal to me. This was the season where everyone wanted to see some kind of loyalty.

Sure Austin...sure. I bet he thought she should've stayed loyal to him when it would've been the him and Liz against her, probably in final 3 (there ain't no way he's throwing the final 2 comps, no matter what he says). And who is he to say what everyone in America wanted. And who was he to talk about loyalty. He was ready to dump her in order to align with the gremlins. If Vanessa hadn't won POV and taken herself off the block, he would've sent her arse home.

quote:

I think she should've kept quiet. ... Her paranoia drove her and prevented her from playing a great game.

Her paranoia may have prevented her from playing a quiet game like Derrick or an all time great game like Will or Dan (or even Derrick), but it was still 10X better than anyone else's game in that house including Austin's. The only reason Austin was in the position he was in was because Vanessa decided to offer the twins protection and pulled him (and the twins) into both 6th Sense and Freaks & Geeks (both alliances was formed by her).

quote:

The only difference is, I wasn't paranoid or swearing on things, and she could win things and I couldn't.

Is he being serious here? The dude made begging and graveling at Vanessa's feet an art form. And he was constantly making promises with people (including Vanessa when she was on the block) and having every intention to break them.

Look, Vanessa's paranoia was on par with Audrey & Devin, and it was frustrating as hell that she wouldn't own her moves. But her fingerprints were on just about every eviction from week 4 on. Also, her lone idea to not only offer Julia safety for the twins, but to use them as the basis of forming two alliances were the two moves that dictated the direction of the season. I'm not saying she's a top player of all time or anything, but she played circles around everyone in the house, including Austin.
