Torchy's is really close to the hotel on SMU Blvd. There are several bars and restaurants along that strip. Torchy's would be casual but really good. They have a full bar there too. Twisted Root Burgers is on SMU Blvd. and is really good. You could go to Barley House (young crowd) or Milo's (dive bar) for a drink after. Really close to the hotel and walking distance is Snider Plaza which has lots of restaurants. Peggy Sues for bbq or Half Shales for sea food. There are some other places over there but I haven't been to those.

Someone mentioned Mias and its great. It will be a crowded cluster frick and the waiting area is the size of a closet....so be prepared. Javiers is close but is over priced avg. mexi full of pretentious see & be seen types. E-Bar is my goto mexican right now and its pretty close.

On lower Greenville avenue there are a lot of places. HG Supply gets hype but again, avg IMO. La Palapas is a good sea food mexican place on lower greenville. One of the best sushi places in Dallas is on lower greenville called Teppo. Blind Butcher is another good place....house made sausages and full bar with craft beer. Truck Yard is great but will be packed. Libertine Pub is my favorite place on lower Greeville for craft beers and food. GGs is great Mediterranean and BYOB.

For Pizza, I would send you to Louie's. Cracker thin crust pizza in a great Dive bar. Make sure you have them sit you on the right side (where the bar is). The left side is an addition with no character. We usually sit at the bar and eat if its just the 2 of us.

we went to blind butcher last night. duck fat fries, mushroom gravy poutine, and a bomb arse pork chop over greens. man oh man it was great.

hg sply co is great too, along with the libertine down the street. tons of good beers. hg is my favorite rooftop. beautiful view of the skyline.
