That's interesting. Corey Raymond really liked this guy, saw him as a corner early that would slide to safety shortly after.

His group did contact LSU about a possible transfer some time back, but LSU wasn't interested. This is nothing new as a lot of LSU's targets that they just missed on have called seeking a transfer. Their policy has basically been "you turned your back on us and now we're turning our back to you.'

I like that policy.

And they also have better kids coming up to work with than Priest who has two years left, but would have to sit a year.

I see no reason for such a "policy" and I'm skeptical that LSU/CLM has one.

I fully agree you take a skeptical approach to someone like that. You consider whether he is low character, low commitment or has a bad attitude. You consider very carefully whether he makes your program better or worse, and only proceed if you are really confident. Heck, you turn him down simply if you think he might take up a spot that you could give to someone better.

But it serves no purpose to just suspend judgement now and forever out of some sense of pride and spite. That's not in LSU's interest.

I doubt that very, very seriously.

I'm sure they evaluate the situation based on whether they think the kid will improve the team.

I believe that, but everything has a breaking point if the guy is that good. If Cam Robinson suddenly wanted to transfer to LSU for some reason, I doubt they turn him away.

Like who? I know Gerald Willis did, but who else recently?

I love this policy and it should always be in effect!
