, you really don't think we'd welcome back Kenny Young?
Nope we wouldn't. We didn't want Daub back and after this year, we will reload on LBs.

When it comes to the "turn our back on us, we will turn on you" policy, IMO it depends on the kid and what happened in the recruiting process and how he handled himself since then.
Someone that disrespects the staff or program or lies to the staff about things, we def wouldn't want them here a few years later. Remember the Hootie Jones recruitment deal... He wanted to decommit from Bama and commit to LSU around the time of the UA All American Game... But we moved on to greener pastures with Adams and didn't have a spot for him. When it's a controversy and questions about the kid, I don't think we would take him as a transfer and we just keep doing what we do, which is reload each and every year with talent.
Now when it comes to someone like Kenny Young, a player who was always respective and cordial and honest with our staff and school but made it clear he wanted to go out of state, I could see us take someone like that back.
You burn the bridges with the staff and school, which some players have done, I doubt we would take them as a transfer. If you are respective to the school and coaching staff and are up front with them during the recruiting process and handle it with maturity and professionalism, and for some reason it doesn't work out at their respective school of choice and wants to come back, I could see us working with someone like that.

Good. Fournette can truck him too.

Aggy can have him

The 6-foot-2 defensive back hit a wall even before the Bruins returned to Westwood, looking increasingly lost while others absorbed the playbook. The star of the class turned out to be linebacker Myles Jack, who also spotted at running back and eventually won Pac-12 Freshman of the Year on both sides of the ball.
Willis played in nine games, mostly on special teams, and ended the season with nine tackles. He admits he lost confidence.
“It wasn’t the year I wanted,” he said. “I wasn’t happy with it, but everyone learns differently. Sometimes, you can’t just be a Myles Jack. Sometimes, people learn much slower. That was the process for me.”

Anyone saying it was a mistake not taking Willis is a fricking moron.

I like that policy.
Amen to that. Wish kids the best but if you're not a Tiger then you are tiger bait.

Gunner Kiel was the savior of lsu's qb situation and he and the loss of Perriloux have been the biggest losses of the LSU program the last 6 years
Get those two guys on the field and college football might look a lot different
Isn't that the truth! In my opinion, Perriloux really set us back and the cycle of developing QBs has been off ever since.

How so? Who could Willis start over on our current 2 deep roster? A guy who is quoted as looking "increasingly lost while others absorbed the playbook" is not someone I'd like to take on as a transfer. A transfer needs to be at a position of need, and someone who can contribute immediately. This guy will have to sit a year, then only have 2 years left to play. I'd much rather use the scholarship on a high schooler, because we have plenty of DB depth.
ETA: Sorry mate. Read that one wrong haha

You got that right, brah. That guy can play. KY and Leo Lewis have put us in a temporary deficit.

Haha Yeah, totally read it wrong. Been a long week with the newborn. Leaving it up though. No shame.

Priest, Gerald, Jamal Carter...even Landon after his freshman year.
Landon is 100% false. Nobody from his family ever contacted LSU any time while he was at Bama. Trying to get readers? Or subscribers? Or whatever the hell you do.

hes going to A&M according to Aggies

His group did contact LSU about a possible transfer some time back, but LSU wasn't interested. This is nothing new as a lot of LSU's targets that they just missed on have called seeking a transfer. Their policy has basically been "you turned your back on us and now we're turning our back to you.'
I love this policy and it should always be in effect!
