Is Mark Jackson one of the most underrated guards of all time

I thought he was phenomenal, but never got the publicity of other greats. . .even in his own era. Perhaps it was his lack of scoring. Maybe it was playing in an era with Stockton, Nash, Kidd, and Payton.

I remember when the Bulls decided the only way to stop the Reggie Miller Pacers, was to put their best defender (Pippen) on Jackson instead of Miller.

He was good, but I thought he was appreciated for his skill level. He wasn't a HOF'r in my opinion. I thought he always got his due respect.

His backing players down at half court was nauseating. I hated him strictly for that.

Pippen was more of a help defender; that's why he covered Jackson. Pippen was a good man to man defender, but he was far more useful in a help role. That's very common for good defenders with long arms.
