He is trying to make Chickie Wah Wah a "listening" club. They discourage people from talking while the musicians perform (especially the acoustic or folk artists). I get that - but its somewhat incompatible with a bbq restaurant. I tend to only go there when its a "louder" type act - Jon Cleary, Happy Talk, etc. But, its not my music venue of choice. Which is a shame, because the wings at Blue Oak are fantastic.
