LSU would have been better served facing Houston or Rice.

Doubt it. There's a reason they were the 3 seed in that region.

Don't get me wrong, ULL is a good team, but they were fortunate to slip by Houston after being no-hit for 8 innings and get Rice after they had just played 20 innings into the middle of the night.

Not to mention it took a miraculous comeback not to go immediately into the losers bracket of that regional. Again, they won and you have to give them credit..but i doubt there is one team in this tournament who wouldnt trade opponents with us.

Fortunate to slip by Houston after being no-hit? I guess you just completely disregard our pitching and defense that held it to a 1-0 game for 9 innings, which allowed us to have a chance in the bottom of the 9th?

Some of you people think you know everything because you look at a box score. Unless you watch the game itself, you have no clue. The Cajuns pitched their arse off and played stellar defense all weekend. Cajuns had 0 errors throughout the Regional. Rice and Houston made errors… that's on them. Part of the game of baseball is playing defense and allowing yourself the chance to come back at the end.

Which team played the better game? The team that had 1 pitcher throw an "almost no-hitter" and eventually lost? Or the team that got no-hit through almost 8 full innings and still pushed through to get the win in the 9th?

Oh and we were "fortunate" to get Rice after they had played 20 innings the night before. Guess who sent Rice to the loser's bracket? The Cajuns.

It's hilarious how people can just discredit what a team has done when they didn't even watch the games.

Sure we didn't hit very well in the Regional. But we still managed to score 16 runs over 3 games. And that's WITHOUT hitting. If our bats heat up, look out.
