Beyond the action scene, why does it rank so high? Action scene was great, especially because the show moves so slowly, any action is welcome. Take away the fighting scene and it's just like every other dull episode this season.

The Cat and the Canal Scene was great, Cersei begging in the tombs and her scene with Qyburn were great, Sansa and Theon's scene was great, and Tyrion and Dany meeting was great. Only thing I think wasn't simply great was Ramsay's scene, but that's solely set-up.

And if you tell me "The Watchers on the Wall" is in your favorite episodes, then you're a hypocrite. No substance to that episode but a long battle.

My thoughts exactly. This episode was far more than the 15 min battle scene. Hell, I could be had that the best scene(s) of the whole episode wasn't the battle scene, but the Tyrion & Dany scenes.

And I liked the Ramsey scene just because when he said all he needed was 20 good men, the first thought that popped up in my head was "I believe this sick bastard could seriously do some messed up crap with 20 good men. What in the hell does he have planned?"

Am I the only one that recognizes "you win or you die" 1:7 as an incredible episode. I think it represents the series better than any other.
