So does Chattanooga and you don't have to drive anywhere?
It's substantially hillier/mountainous and it has a ton more of running/hiking trails. From the Rock/Creek Stump Jump 50 kilometer race to some of the best rock climbing in the nation...Chattanooga is an outdoors paradise.

Yep.
Not to take anything away from Nashville here, because it is better in this regard than a vast majority of major cities. Chattanooga is elite in this category though.
