Looking to get into kayak fishing and thinking of taking my kayaks out for the first time this weekend. Was thinking of going down to Delacroix saturday. Any advice for a beginner? Also is there a better location to fish out of right now?

Be mindful of the weather. This is especially important for kayaks. Wear your pfd at all times. Keep your head on a swivel, make sure other boats see you. Bring as little as possible. Only what you need. Have fun.

As far as fishing Delacroix, someone else will have to chime in on that.

Be mindful of the tide and wind too, there's nothing worse than paddling out against current/wind, fishing and then paddling back against current/wind. Bring water. Good luck!
