It is also a bit easier to the east with the deep water. I doubt i will be running far enough for Tuna out of Cocodrie this weekend as i will be targeting the ship shoal area for the snapper. Doubt i will see water deep enough for grouper either. Figure running west will have less people and hopefully get some real sow snapper.

We usually run to the northwest edge of the canyon, so we're close enough to chase tuna. I've only fished them behind shrimp boats, though. Are those guys shrimping right now?
