Is it safe to assume this happened to you Sunday morning?

it's safe to assume if I were home. I wasnt home but my wife and in laws were. I just keeping thinking to myself what would I have done if I would have been home? I could have very easily walked out in the backyard like I usually do and confronted what was taking place.

Funny thing is, all he took was lawn mower, blower and weed-eater. He even filled everything up with gas before he left. He cleaned everything out of the shed to get to this stuff, but left my tools, chain saw, 4 bikes, hedge trimmers, etc.....

Sounds like an entrepreneur about to set up a new lawn maintenance business in your hood.

To the original question, you can't be sure HE's not armed (or has picked up one of your tools he could use as a weapon), so IMO, go inside, lock the door, arm myself, call the police.
