We did $5 for the first and $1 after. Works well. The kids are just excited to get money. The dollar amount doesn't mean all that much to them. If you give them too much they'll want to rip teeth out to make money.

Damn. I use to get .50 pieces. If I was lucky, I got a Susan B Anthony. U people are crazy handing out $20
