The best method for me losing weight is blending a fruit/vegetable smoothie on my nutribullet for at least two meals a day, running at least 10 miles a week, and doing strength training twice a day
I also swim/snorkel, hike and go rock climbing every now and then. The more time you spend outdoors, the better! I can't say anything on the coffee as I don't drink it. Good luck

I lost 20 lbs years ago by:
1. Not eating so much junk, and not eating so much, and
2. Exercising more.
I have kept the weight off by:
1. Not eating so much junk, and not eating so much, and
2. Exercising more.
Putting butter in my coffee sounds delicious though.

Seems excessive.

Seriously, what are these idiots thinking. I'm going to stick to that food pyramid the government gave me when I was a kid and shove 10 servings of processed carbs down my throat everyday.

I read about bulletproof coffee. It seemed like the guy took a plausible idea and created an expensive product with it to make money.
I did stop putting any sugar/sweetener in my regular coffee, and put butter/ coconut oil or heavy cream. It holds me up til lunch allowing me to me skip breakfast.
I lost 5 pounds. But I also ate more vegetables, less refined starches, started lifting and trained for a short triathlon about that time. I feel way better than I did at the end of 2014 and attribute it all to the coffee.

It's like people thinking atkins diet is actually healthy. "Hey guys, I'm gonna eat a pound of bacon for breakfast with two eggs. Can't eat fruit though, too many carbs!"
I'm not saying you shouldn't eat fruit, but there is a lot of evidence these days that a diet consisting of majority fat is not bad for you at all. Carbs seem to be much worse actually.

To me, a 400 cal fat heavy meal is way more satiating then a 500 cal carb heavy meal, cereal milk and a banana. At 7 AM lotsa eggs and two strips of bacon will get me to 2 o'clock. With cereal in hungry at 10am
exercising can actually make some peoples weight-loss harder, after the loss of calories, your body's job is to regain homeostasis. Thus, your body tells you to eat. And most overweight people are over eaters, so the less often you need to eat, the less likely you are to over eat. It's not the fastest way by far, but I have lost a couple pounds each week this year and not exercised and still had a couple cheap meals a week

Joe Rogan had the owner on and was buying into it and then a couple of shows later after he researched it he bashed the hell out of it
Did he? I remember listening to that original podcast with Dave Asprey, then I heard Joe later talk about some issues that he had (Asprey not mentioning his Modafinil use on the first podcast, Asprey's claim about the large amount of mycotoxins in other brands of coffee, etc.), but I don't remember Joe saying anything negative about that type of coffee. After talking about some of those issues that he had with Asprey, I noticed that Joe switched from drinking Bulletproof Coffee to Caveman Coffee, which uses the same basic ingredients. Maybe I missed something else that Joe said, but from what I've heard, his issues were more with Asprey, not necessarily the coffee.
