It's just what happens. Don't argue balls and strikes. It's the fast track to an ejection, and it's been that way for a long time.

Well obviously this doesn't "just happen" often when the overwhelming majority think it was a horrible call and it becomes a somewhat national story.

If he was actually ejecting someone for arguing balls and strikes, it would have been Matt Williams immediately. And like Hendo keeps saying, if we are really following the rules here, add a strike to the count if he's not getting back in the box as fast as you would like (again the only reason he was out of the box is because the ump started yelling back at Williams)
