Just watched the replay on ESPN.com, and it was probably uncalled for, but Harper was sort of showing the ump up by running up and tapping his toe on the line. Almost asking for it

And what is the story behind the managers kicking dirt on to home plate? Just watched Williams do it, and is it another one of those unspoken statements in baseball, like biting your thumb?

Well the douchebag ump was scolding him like a child to get back in the box AFTER he stopped play to argue with Williams in the dugout. Harper was in the box before that all transpired. Such horseshite. This is why I hate umps.

Just something to frick with the ump. Makes the ump bend over and dust it off

I think it's hilarious when they kick dirt on the plate. It forces the ump to brush it off. It's also funny when they kick dirt on the ump's leg. Baseball lol

Fwiw, the called strike on Harper and the called 3rd strike on A Rod to end the game were equally horrific calls. That ump is a blind douche.
