Today was a great day gentlemen. After all the bad luck the Lakers have had for the past 4 or 5 years, I was fully expecting to get fricked in the lotto and lose the pick.
Not only did we keep the pick but also vaulted into the top two to grab one of the two potential franchise big men
Great day indeed

Good for the Lakers getting a good pick today. I hope they look like a decent franchise again within a few years.
Isn't all their bad luck of their own creation? Kobe's contract, the D'antoni and Nash experiment, letting Howard go instead of prioritizing him as their future, letting Pau walk instead of trading him (functionally trading Pau for Boozer), refusing to humble themselves and bring Jackson back and picking up Scott instead... all of these are bad coaching and personnel decisions that would hurt any franchise.
It seems to me the Lakers are where they have tried like hell to get over the last five years... near the bottom. Not because of bad luck, because of a determined effort to make the worst available decisions.
