Thats what I figured since regionals start so soon but if you really look at it thats not fair to a team like A&M. They should either make it entirely single elimination or entirely double. But I guess it works out in the end since the 4 teams left standing are the 4 best in the sec.

FWIW, they got the extra game off and day of rest so they are more fresh. That's fairly significant even if they lose 1 game and Vandy has to lose 2 to exit.
